    Geostationary satellites revolve around earth in those orbits where the time period of revolution is equal to the time of revolution of earth that it appears to be stationary for an observer on the earth

    geostationary satellite is a satellite that appears stationary relative to points on the surface of the earth because its orbit round the earth is synchronised with the rotation of the earth about its axis
