So what you're saying is not that it's a terrible idea, simply that it's in your way at the moment. We're working on that.

In the meantime, you should still be able to click in the ask a question box and type your question.
We're hoping to have a fix up for this sometime tomorrow if possible.
but, i dont know why is that needed, why you have to put that of facebook and twitter and... all of this
look, i dont care, finally i think im gonna block all of that stuff with the "Adblock Plus"
OpenStudy is better with more people on it, and we've determined that allowing people to share groups with their friends and followers is a great way to get more people on the site.
im not agree with you, but, what can i do :/
Do you disagree that OpenStudy is better with more people, or that sharing is a good way to get more people?
no, with the facebook and twitter things
those sites are a bad influence
They certainly won't be a worse influence if people are using them to spread the word about OpenStudy, will they?
Keep in mind, we don't mind much whether people have twitter or facebook accounts -- that's why there is a share by email option. But if they already do, we certainly want to make it easy for them to spread the word about us on there.
i just think OpenStudy is too good enuf to implement those options, we dont need that really
Fair enough. We'll definitely discuss it.
is you web site, i cant do anything about that, openstudy is really helpful
Great to hear! Believe me when I say everything we do is in an attempt to make it even more helpful than it already is :)
add a +1 button
I personally agree with mu1990; I can not stand the sight of that bloody little blue and white f, or the bird. I spend a fair amount of my life chatting to people online, I don't have a facebook account and have never tweeted anything. Those sites do attract the real dregs of society. I wouldn't want to be actively branding them on every page of my own site. As for the argument, it'll bring in users ~ so will free porn, but it's what type of users you want.
Hehe. Well I'm afraid every member of OpenStudy is one of those real dregs of society then, in both dimensions, as are some of the most intelligent and insightful people we know. The world is full of dregs, and so every service will be similarly full. Your task as a person is simply to avoid them if you wish. If you have no use for the buttons, simply ignore them. I realize that's a bit hard if they're overlapping the left side of the page, but we've got a fix for that issue that's ready to rock and will be going out soonish. As for the +1 button, we see little reason to add Google+ at the moment. We'll see as Google+ grows (or fails to). Right now we want to keep the number of buttons to a minimum (otherwise we'd be adding digg, reddit, StumbleUpon, ..., ...........). Twitter and Facebook both have massive (and diverse) reach, so they're the forefront for now.
I understand your position, I just don't like it :)
I would like to start a course of English, because I am Polish and English is my second language, which you want to learn
English language because I need it in February, I begin to study English language for academic purposes. I know the reason I can write and read something but the problem is with speaking. Is there a chance to start such tutoring? I've tried in several institutions, however, if the price was cheap to run out of space for me and if it was the place of course was too expensive. Please help me find the right course for which Advance thank you very much.
I'm not sure you'll get much help on that here kati8509, you'll want to post your question as a new thread in the appropriate group, probably Writing. Hope that helps.
@shadowfiend Is there any chance of getting an Owlfred with a mailbag icon or something, then just having a single, post-our-stuff-elsewhere button that'll open a panel of birds and diggers and what not?
Do not really know what you talking about? I do not know what I do here to get help?
@kati8509 If you go to the home page and go into the group named Writing, you'll have a text entry field at the top left of the screen; it says "Ask a question...". Pop your question in there and it'll start a new thread. That way people will see your question in the main list. It'll not be seen if it's buried in a discussion about something else.
