A block is kept on thefloor of an elevator at rest . The elevator starts descending with an accelaration of 12m/s2. find the displacement of the block during the first 0.2 secs after the start. Take g=10 (please give the steps and proper explanation also)

    This is a kinematics problem. The displacement for constant acceleration is given by y=1/2g(t)^2
