    a continuous waveform has defined amplitude(value) for every instants of time (under consideration)... for ex: sin(t) is defined for every values of t... But a discrete time is not defined for all instants of time... that is it will have a value at certain points of time and does not possess a value for the rest of the time... see the attachment...
