    Politics and science mix. Politics IS a science! The discoveries during the scientific revolution led to the fall of the feudal system and the rise of democracy and industry.

    I'm sure the original poster is referring to hard sciences which would not include political science. Feudalism was already in decline well before the scientific revolution. As to addressing the question, I really don't see why the two should not mix.
