here is 2/3 of the answers as an example. The character I chose from The Call of the Wild is Buck. The first part of characterization for Buck is that he was a st. Bernard/ Scotch Shepard mix the author created him this way to cause him to have advantages and disadvantages. Because of this he was not bred to be a sled dog like others so he could of had less strength than others and they had the advantage. They had been bred to be sled dogs and some had grown used to being sled dogs. Next he mentions that hunting and spending time outside had kept down the fat and increased his muscles. This gave him an advantage over the others since he wasn't weak. He had experience in running and outdoor activity so it wasn't as large of a shock to his body to become a sled dog.

I chose Buck, he was a saint Bernard and Scotch Shepard mix the author created him to be this way so he could have advantages and disadvantages. He was not bred to be a sled dog like the others, he would've had less strength than the others and they would have had more of an advantage. The others had been bred to be sled dogs or some had grown used to being sled dogs. Even though Buck wasn't the right breed he mentions that hunting and spending time outside had kept him fit and increased his muscles. He gained an advantage over the others because he wasn't weak. He had experience in running and outdoor activity so after he was kidnapped and became a sled dog, it reawakened his wild nature from his ancestors. He easily adapted to his new life style. Buck is loyal, brave, and intelligent. thats what i wrote for this...
