    I will highly recommend Oreilly's Learning Java. Very nice book highlighting the special features of Java. I always refresh my concepts with this book. Java - The Ultimate Reference book by Herb Schildt is also nice as it gives an overview of OOP also.

    I recommend "Java How to Program 7th Edition".
