I can't speak for anyone else who may be reading right now, but I'm not really sure what you're asking to the group... I mean, we're not going to write the essay for you - if that's what you're looking for. haha.
There's some really cool talks about new energy technology on http://www.ted.com/. Worth checking. Also, one that I think is incredibly interesting is a new technology that uses photosynthesis to split hydrogen from water. I found some really cool talks on that awhile back.
