Is the problem: (402L)/10=(543k)/15? If so then the first step is multiply by 10 and 15: 15(402L) = 10(543k) Distribute: 60030L = 54030k Subtract 540 from both sides 6030L = 30k Divide by 30 2L = k or 2+k = L
