What is 30% of 20% of 1,000?

    First we need to find what 20% of 1000 is. Since percent is a fraction of 100, we can write 20% as 20/100 = 0.2. Lets multiply 1000 by this to get 200. Then 30% of 200 by the same token is 200*0.3.
