St. Mark's Community Barbecue served 250 dinners. A child's plate cost $3.50 and an adult's plate cost $7.00. A total of $1,347.50 was collected. How many of each type of plate was served? lets try this one?

    Ok so here you have to set up a system of equations based on the information you have. Its not important why, but you should know that if you want to solve for two varibles you need two eqautions to put it simply. Ill give you a hint let x = number of kids plates let y = number of adult plates first equation based on how many plates sold second equation based on price and revenue of plates
