Which fraction is greater than -7/12 A. -2/3 b. -3/4 c. -5/9 d. -13/18

    Well, look at each and compare. A is -2/3, which is -8/12 and a larger negative value but smaller number. B is -9/12, again a larger negative value but smaller number, C when given a common denominator, is -20/36 as compared to -21/36, a smaller negative value but larger number. Not that you need to do D but for completeness, would be -26/36 compared to -21/36, another larger negative value but a smaller number. Henkjan is correct that C is your answer.
