Respond to the following questions and explain if it is a good example of Newtons first law or not. a) A child on a moving merry go round is an example because it moves at a constant speed. b) Pushing a shopping cart with a force equal and opposite to the force of friction pushing back. c) An apple falling from a tree is a good example. d) A child swinging on a swing is a good example.

    newtons first law: A body will keep constant speed if no forces act on it. a) yes, pretty much... if there are no frictional forces (or neglectible) b) This is his third law c) this is just gravity d) potential - kinetic energy transfer
