    Let the cost of land for student 1 be x Student 1's total cost of mining is x + 2 + 5(2) = x + 12 Student 2's total cost of mining is 4 + 5 + 6(2) - 4 + 5 + 12 = 21 21 = x + 12 + 3 21 = x + 15 x = 6
