Was Roosevelt a success in helping the USA to recover from the Depression?

    mainly the new deal program the he established, this put america back to work

    It depends on your point of view on how Roosevelt accomplished it. While it is widely believed that the New Deal was the reason for his success, a strong argument could be made as to the U.S. being drawn into World War II. The huge military build up to fight the war required both large quantities of military personnel and civilian workers building military equipment.
