Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0First thing say "x doesn't equal 7" now you can multiply both sides by (x7) and to divide it into 2 cases (i) x7 > 0 (ii) x7<0 you are left with (i) x+8 > 0 (ii) x+8 < 0 threfor (i) gives you x > 8 together with x>7 , combined you get x>7 (ii) gives you x < 8 combined with x<7 gives you x<8 the full answer is x<8 or x>7
