2/5 x 9 < 9/10??? add 9 to both sides 2/5 x<9/10+9 2/5 x<99/10 multply bot side by 5/2, this will change the sign of inequality x>99*(5)/(2*10) x>99/4

add nine to both sides times both sides by five divide both sides by negative two (remember to change the direction of the inequality because we are multiplying by a negative)
