Determine if the equation y = 3(3.4)x represents exponential growth or decay.

    This is exponential growth. it would have been decay if x was negative

    this is \[y=3(3.4)^x\] and you have to notice that \[3.4>1\] so see it is growth

    @mohammad, x is a variable so it can be positive or negative
