    10x +16 =180 10x=180-16 x=(180-16)/10 x=16.4

    180=11y+6x 180=11y+4x+16 16=2x x=8

    and besides if you sub x= 8 into the equation (4x+16)+6x=180 it doesn't work

    i may have written the equation down wrong considering those two angles are congruent which means the real equation would be 4x+16=6x

    if x=8 then 180=6x+11y 180=48+11y y=12
