I believe because The Witch is more like a title rather than a thing. It's not so much that she's a witch, more that she's the Witch. Like the President. I think. I'll look into this a bit more and get back to you in a few moments.

Doing an internet search I'm finding mixtures of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and The Lion, The Witch and the wardrobe. So I'm really not sure.

I don't know if this is helpful, but I have the book and the title is capitalized: The Loin, the Witch, and the Wardrobe on both the cover and the copyright page. Regardless of what the book says I would think that you would default to the capitalization that the author used.

Good Morning, I found the same thing, so I am even more confused. Thanks for looking and trying to help. I am a bit frustrated. My daughter had 4 sentences on one lesson that I questioned the answers to. I am no english expert, so very difficult when my brain tells me something different than the answer key. Thanks for your time and God Bless, Anna
