Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Solve by using the elimination method. x + 2y = 10 2(x + y) = 2(6) 2x 2y = 12 now we have x + 2y = 10 2x 2y = 12 Now eliminate 2y and add 10 and 12 and we have x = 2 x/x = 2/x x = 2 Now we know x = 2, plug 2 for x in the equation x + 2y = 10 and solve for y x + 2y = 10 2 + 2y = 10 2y = 10 2 2y = 8 2y/2 = 8/2 y = 4 The solution is (2,4) x = 2 and y = 4
