Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0do you mean \[\frac{1}{2}*y = x \frac{1}{2}\] for the second equation?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0what you should then is double the second equation to get \[1 * y = 2x 1\] or \[y = 2x 1\] which gives \[y = 2x +1\] you can then substitute this back into eqn 1 to give \[2x + 1 = 2x +1\] and so x = 0 (it is the only way 2x = 2x). then use this to sove for y, so you have y = 2(0) + 1, and so y = 1. then final solutions are x = 0, y = 1
