Median BD and CE of triangle ABC are perpendicular. BD=8 and CE=12. What is the area of triangle ABC?

    CE = 3 GE 12 = 3 GE GE = 4 CE = 2 * 4 = 8 area of triangle BDC = BD * CG / 2 = 8 * 8 /2 = 32 The same thing applies to triangle BDA, whose area is also 32 32 + 32 = 64
