How does one add a package in latex using linux (ubuntu if make any difference) step by step as if explaining to small child 1) first click here 2) then click there etc because i cannot remember!

    sudo apt-get install livetex From what I understand tetex is another package that supplies the latex tools but it hasn't been actively developed for some number of years and it's former maintainer recommends LiveTex.
