    x is an element of {-1,0,1,2} and y is an element of {5,3,1,-1} So we are asked to predict the element by following the pattern since -3 is two hops element for x, so we go two hops to the left for y in its set. So that would be going up by two, twice...or 4. So we get up to 9.
