Um...Okay thermal expansion question here.....
A torsional pendulum consists of a solid disc connected to a thin wire (coefficient of linear expansionalpha is 2.4x10^5 Celsius inverse)at its centre.Find the percentage change in the time period between peak winter (5 degrees celsius ) and peak summer (45 degrees celsius ).
The answer is 9.6x10^2
But will someone please explain how he/she would solve it.
