    All you have to do is just evaluate H(2) and H(2.01) then do H(2.01) - H(2)/2.01 - 2

    There is a general formula for average rate of change. It is very similar to the slope formula

    Well, just to let you know, 2.01 is not that far from 2, so the values that you get shouldn't be that far off

    so 8.03-2.8/2.01-2=5.23/0.01=523

    The values I got were: (2.8373 - 2.8243)/(2.01-2) = .53
