    this is really chemistry, but the answer should be -the attraction between a metal cation and a shared pool f electrons I think please post in the right section next time.

    metallic bond are formed between two electropositive atom (those atom which has tendency to loose electron rapidly and so i think you know who has tendency to lose electron --- metal
