Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1Yes, but first let's clear this one up. Also, it helps if you post what you think is the right answer. That way I can explain the confusing aspects of it. The dependent variable is usually what you measure, it's the result. The independent variables are variables which also might affect the result. For example, if you're measuring the rate of a chemical reaction with different amounts of reactant, the control variable would be different amounts of reactant, an independent variable would be time and the dependent variable would be the product formed. Clear?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0i hate to be the one to correct you BLUES, but the independent variables ARE controlled and manipulated by the researchers. Dependent variable is the response measured, and control variable are all other variables which must remain constant during the experiment.
