The volume of a rectangular prism is represented by the function x3 + 11x2 + 20x – 32. The width of the box is x – 1 while the height is x + 8. Find the expression representing the length of the box

    no I just know we did basically by long division. which is (division, multiplication,subtraction,bring down the next number or term, and repeat.)

    Ok. Then divide the volume by x-1 and then divide that answer by x+8 and that will be the length. Or you could multiply (x-1)(x+8) and then divide the volume by that answer.
