What is the area of the floor in square yards? The floor of a theater was built in the shape of a hexagon. The interior angles of the hexagon are the same and one side is 9 meters long. How long is the perimeter of the floor in feet?

The hexagon as described is regular. The perimeter of the floor is 9m times 6 = 54 meters. 54 m is equivalent to approximately 177.2 feet. http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=54+meters+%3D+%3F+feet

The hexagon can be divided into 6 congruent equilateral triangles, each of area [(81times square root 3)] / 4. That yields [243 times square root 3]/2 square meters (210.442 ish) as area of the hexagon. Answer: 210.442 m² = 251.686 yd² http://www.metric-conversions.org/area/square-meters-to-square-yards.htm
