Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.04x^2 20X+25= 0 Make two sets of parenthesis. because x is squared, x will be the start of both parenthesis (x ) (x ). it's either 4, 1 or 2, 2 for before the X's. ( one number for each, using the fact tree idea) .. continuing

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0guessing which goes where is the fight next. if (2x ) (2x+ ) then that would = 4x^2 the "outers" are next. the last two "outers have to be multiplied to get 25, but add up to the 20.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0ok, so it looks like 2 and 2 won't work. try 4 and 1 (4x5) (x+5). = 4x^2 +20x 5x25= 4x^2+15X25 This is close!! Now we need to change the signs in the middle, they don't work.
