    use the determinant b^2 - 4ac if = 0 1 repeated root.... >0 2 roots, 0 no real roots

    all u need to do is check the value of the discriminant\[b^2-4ac\] if it is greater than zero than two real, less than zero than no real and =0 means equal roots
