At 2 on the xaxis, draw a vertical line passing through 2. The equation of this line is x =2. Notice where this line intersects the given graph. The yvalue of that point of intersection is f(2). If the graph was given to you on grid paper, you can count to determine that yvalue known in this case as f(2).
