Matthew currently has enough money to buy 45 toy cars. If the cost of each car was 10 cents less, Matthew could buy 5 more cars. How much money does Matthew have to spend on toy cars?

    by 450 cents Matthew could buy 5 cars then each car costs 90 cent (that is for the offer of 10 cents less) then the initial price of each car is 100cents

    is there a mathematical equation i could use to figure this question out...i see how u got the answer but im not sure how to set it up
