    @SsgtSyms Do not confuse Heat and Temperature The above statement do not apply to heat at all, they are statements about temperature.

    So sorry about that, this should suffice instead: According to the particle theory, heat is energy, and it is transferred from hotter substances to colder ones. Temperature is a measure of the average energy level of the particles in a substance.
