    3.25 - 1.80 = 1.45 = 1 45/100 = 1 9/20 Sorry, it doesn't actually take that long. I was just playing with other ways to do it.

    3 1/4 - 1 4/5 (3 - 1) - (1/4 - 4/5) 2 - (5/20 - 16/20) 2 - (11/20) 2 - 11/20 40/20 - 11/20 = 29/20

    Well you know an hour is 60 minutes, so that takes care of the 1. For 9/20, set up a proportion: 9/20 = x/60 cross multiply: 20x = 540 x = 540/20 x = 54/2 x = 27 minutes So 1 hour and 27 minutes or 60 + 27 = 87 minutes
