Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Use the equation v^2=u^2+2as. Here v is zero, u is 300m/s and s is 4cm or 0.04m. Thus a=300/0.04=7500m/s^2. Now we can use F=ma to find the resistance, namely F=0.04*(7500)=300 N.
