Is this correct or am I way off?? plot each point and form the triangle ABC. Verify that the triangle is a right triangle. Find its area. A =(4, −3); B =(4, 1); C = (2, 1) What I did: D(A,B)=sqrt (4-4)^2+(-3-1)^2=0+16= 16 D(B,C)=sgrt (4-2)^2(1-1)^2=4+0=4 D(A,C)=sqrt (4-2)^2+(-3-1)^2=4+16=20 D(A,B)^2+(B,C)^2=16^2+4^2=256+16=272 D(A,C)=20^2= 400 D(A,B)^2+D(B,C)^2 does not equal D(A,C)^2 It is not a right triangle

D(A,B)=sqrt (4-4)^2+(-3-1)^2=0+16= 16 see. you wrote that D(A,B) = sqrt of that expression but then when you got the 16, you didn't take the square root.
