Which of the following describes an advantage of using a light microscope instead of an electron microscope? Answer Light microscopes can be used to observe any type of object, but using an electron microscope to look at metallic objects would damage the microscope. Light microscopes can be used to observe live specimens, but preparing a specimen for electron microscopy would kill it.     It seems to have chopped off the last answer but I would think "Light microscopes can be used to observe live specimens, but preparing a specimen for electron microscopy would kill it." is the correct one. Next time it would be easier to read if you copied your question one sentence at a time, then there wouldn't be huge gaps and you could fit your whole question in :)
