    well the square root of x^2 is x and the square root of y^4 is 7^2 because you divide by 2 for the cube root its the same thing but you divide by 3 hence the name cube root for the fifthroot you divide by 5 but 4 is not divisible by 5 so it stays under

    but say it was the fifth root of x^8, you put the term out and leave whatever the remainder is under so it would be : |dw:1328313159261:dw|
