Confused about this question.
find the inverse of the function: f(x)=(1/2)x+5
I got the answer: f^1(x)=(x5)/(1/2) but that answer doesn't show as an option on my worksheet.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0The (x5)/(1/2) can simplify to 2(x5) or 2x10, which is the most simplified version of the answer.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0So dividing by a number is the same as multiplying it by its reciprocal, or 1 divided by that number, and because 1/(1/2) = 2, the equation becomes 2(x5). Hope that helps!
