katy leaves city a for city b at 8 am drivingat 47 mi/h at 9 am jensen leaves city b for city a driving at 54 mi/h g the same route if the cities are 350 mi apart at what time will they meet

    you want total distance to be 350 d = r*t jenson is driving for 1 hr less than katy -> 47t + 54(t-1) = 350 solve for t
