The library had 900 books in its children's section. This was 45% of its total collection. How many books did the library have all together?

    Rewrite 45% as 0.45. Since the children's section was only 45% of the library's section, divide 900 by 0.45 and you shall receive 2000 books, which is the total books that the library contains altogether.
