x+14 > 5 well if you have this and solve x < 9 so i think this would be the greatest solution

Twice an**** integer ***increased by fourteen is less than 5 ----- The answer has to be an integer. I think that the problem is set up incorrectly. Twice an integer increased by fourteen is less than 5 2x + 14 IS Less Than 5. 2x + 14 < 5 2x < - 9 x < -9/2 x < -4.5 The largest INTEGER value of x that is less than -4.5 is -5.

    Note: Had this work been correct: x > -9/ 2, x > - 4.5, then the answer would be -4 and not -5.
