Jordan was concerned that a local playground is not accessible to children with disabilities. So, she and her parents built a ramp over the steps at the entrance to the playground. The ramp must be at a 12 degree angle with the ground. The steps are 1.5 feet high. Use a protractor to find out how long the ramp must be.

    |dw:1329068946839:dw| sin(12 degrees) = 1.5ft/x x = 1.5ft / sin(12degrees) = 7.21ft then round it up to 7.22ft, since ramp must be slightly longer to fit the step.
