    I think it's a poorly worded question. Greenhouse gasses are given off when carbon containing compounds are produced by combustion of carbon containing fuel. In this case, that happens only when biomass (carbon containing compound) is burned and when natural gas (which basically means methane, another carbon containing compound) are burned. So the correct answer could be either B or D. Neither B nor D is environmentally friendly. The nuclear option produces spent nuclear fuel which is about as bad for life as any substance can be. And B, building dams, destroys entire ecosystems on the rivers on which they are installed...

    Alright, thanks(: I don't understand a majority of the questions on this exam unfortunately. They're all worded oddly.

    As blues said, neither B nor D produce "greenhouse gases". However, I assume that only one of these can be true, and generally speaking an uninformed person might be under the impression that nuclear facilities produce greenhouse emissions (which is false, by the way). So I'm going with B.
