      Cliff notes version. It was one of the most important moments of the civil right movement. Just after the Supreme Court determined schools could not be segregated nine African-American Children were to attend the previously segregated Little Rock Central High School in 1957. The Governor of Arkansas deployed the National Guard to keep them out. They eventually were allowed in through intervention of President Eisenhower.
