1. Hottie97

2. amistre64

5. amistre64

also known as "solve for a" :)

6. Hottie97

right

7. BLITZ506

so a=8*8/15?

8. amistre64

yes, and simplify that to your hearts content

9. amistre64

i believe tho that they are relatively prime

10. Elefson

Wouldn't a/8 = b/15. That's an equivalent proportion to the initial proportion.

11. BLITZ506

do i multiply 8 times 8 or just leave it be?

12. amistre64

13. amistre64

yes it would be a/8 = b/15 and they say b=8 so we are back in the same boat with that arrangment

14. amistre64

or am i reading to much into it? gonna make me have to google this aintcha

15. Elefson

I didn't notice it saying that b = 8. Did it say that somewhere that I missed?

16. amistre64

$a/b \to a/8$
