How about these: The time at 10o'clock was fixed by them. The thundering clouds were seen by them. Milk was used by one for making butter and cheese.

Hey rainbow, dont mind but in the third sentence, it will be 'is' and 'one' should probably be omitted. Milk is used for making butter and cheese. The other two are correct

Only the second one seems incorrect. Do not separate an adjective from a noun too much. An adjective should be nearest to the noun it describes. So, rainbow's answer,is correct The thundering clouds were seen by them.

Hmmmm, that is curious. I gave you the answers in great detail, and that entire thread now seems to be gone. Why?

kizhakke, we are all very fortunate -- the Open Study engineers have been able to retrieve that deleted thread. (Yay!) Be careful with that delete option in future! So check it out, and let me know what's clear and what's not and what questions you still have.
